Hi! I am Jewel and I too have been a Horror Movie Fan Forever. Creature Feature was one of my favorite shows on TV when I was a kid.
To me, there is no better movie than one that makes you wonder what you were thinking by wanting to watch it in the first place. I rate movies on how many times they make me jump. They can have the cheesiest storyline, but it they can make me jump...either inside or physically, then I like it. I think you have a great board here!

Great idea for a board. I'll try and post more tonight when I get home and can think about the horror movies that scared me when young.

Hello all! Great idea for a board. I love horror movies. Some of my favs as a kid were the Dracula movies with Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing.

Hello ZombiGrrl! Sorry it took me so long to get over here!!! One of my favorites was "Texas Chainsaw the Massacre" The original of course. It was so scary, I could never watch it again. I think that was about 25 years or so ago? Is it that old? Well anyway, it was when it first came out--I think. I have no desire to see the sequels. One was enough!!! lol The one movie that scared the hell out of me, and on a spiritual level, was the Exorcist. After seeing this, how can you not believe in the devil. And to make matters worse, my sisters friend, new a priest who new a priest who was one of the priests in the movie (but this was the real event) and a boy not a girl was possesed!!! I belived this friend!!! I do believe this was the first horror film I saw at the movies. I was not into scary movies when I was young. My mom took my sister and I to see it. I didn't want to see it. I would have been better off not seeing it. Now I'm reading books saying the devil does not exist. There will never be changing my mind, although a huge part of me would be better off not believing in the devil!!! It was made beautifully. It ranks first actually on my scary movie list!!!

Nice to see ya here Sharon! This board isn't moving as fast as yours, but hopefully more will come.
I remember the night my Mom & Dad went to see the excorcist... my mom was scared to death! She was spooked about the "devil" & evil for a while over that one. I have read alot about possesion etc. I have to say - I believe in it.. (there cannot be good with out some sort of evil to weigh it against)-just my opinion there. There is a lot of controversy about mental illness VS demonic possesion (makes for very thought provoking reading). |
